Saudade insana

cisma em me fazer sofrer
um sofrimento sem sentido
sofrer por coisas que não perdi
não perdi porque simplesmente nunca tive!

saudade insana,
será que hoje você me dá um sossego?
pode ser?
amanhã nos revemos!

  1. Saudade, saudade insana - I love the word (and the feeling) of saudade. It is a special word, a word that is hard to describe. It is something that people feel, for so many reasons, and sometimes it is so strong (saudade que não acaba mais), it feels like it will kill us - but in a way it keeps us alive and makes us stronger.... hope I am not sounding too crazy ha ha ha. The poem is great - I think I no longer need to say that :-) In a way the feelings it conveys reminds me of that famous poem by Robert Frost 'The Road Not Taken'

  2. It is funny. This poem was written in March, but it is really describing my state of mine now. I am being torm apart by a restless, relentless and yes an insane saudade. For what? For many things.... I miss talking to you a lot, and reading new poems (though tonight I have been re-reading your old ones and liking them), but also for other things, for my country, my family in Ireland, for things that are gone, in my past, but for other things that will never be... saudade insana.. that is me at the moment. And yes I am really wishing it would give me some peace...
Beautiful poem. I am anxiously waiting for more when you return. (If am being boring about that, it is for a good cause, your poetry, your gift.. :-)
