arco-íris

você ri tão gostoso, amiga
franze o nariz com um charme que é
só seu
à la sienna miller

e seus cabelos,
como são lindos!
poderia me esconder embaixo
deles
por dias
sempre que quisesse fugir
desse mundo real e tedioso
que não parece
com você
em nada

que aparece pra mim
sempre em cores vivas
mesmo quando está vestindo
branco, preto ou cinza
não importa

é que de você transluzem
uma série de raios

verdes
que me enchem de esperança
e me orientam a seguir a vida
com menos desespero
já que pelo caminho
podem existir
uma meia dúzia de pessoas
como usted
que já valem
toda a caminhada

e alguns raios azuis
que me tranquilizam que só
eles
me passando confiança e um bocado
de sabedoria

isso sem falar nos raios amarelos
oriundos tanto do reflexo dos seus
fios loiros
quanto do seu sorriso
que
embora composto por dentes branqui-inhos
me transmite uma alegria
dourada

afinal
acho que você
é um arco-íris pra
mim
esse fenômeno
curioso
que surge entre meu sol
e umas gotas d'água
em muita ou pouca
quantidade
e ofusca
os assuntos e afazeres do dia
pelo excesso
de graça e beleza

  1. I´m slipping up... it´s taken me three days to write on comment on this. I am so busy (and so tired) these days. Yesterday I was on the go for almost 20 hours!! Somehow (I don´t know how) I am surviving..
Anyway, the poem. I liked it, as usual, it is lighter than the other poems you have written recently, slightly different in subject matter, but it is still good. I want one like this for me some day ha hahaha
I really like the way you describe you friend, the different colours, and their effects on you, maing you happy, giving you wisdom, etc. I really like the end, your description of the rainbow and how it (or your friend) affects you, and makes you happy.. transforms you really!! Actually I need someone like that now, someone to distract/cheer me up, and take away this blackness in my soul which is always seeping in...
Hopefully, I will discover a new poem here soon.. :-)
I actually have a funny suggestion to make (its more of a joke, but you never know, it could make you rich ha haha), but I will send it by email one of these days!!!

  2. Trying to find inspiration (and energy to work, I am utterly exhausted these days.. even my mother rang me up to me dar bronca), I came across this poem and thought of you, obviously. I know you have read it, but I know she is you, in a way (though I hope your life will be happier than hers, I am sure it will be. It would make me very sad to see you suffer as Florbela did). So I am pasting it below, to give you inspiration, maybe bring you luck.. and mainly cause I feel like it. :-) It has been hard to talk to you these days, so I am reading your poems.. actually it is hard to have a decent conversation these days. Sometimes I wonder what have I done wrong, as I find myself in need of people to talk to - people I want to talk to...!! Talk soon and hopefully I will read a new poem of yours soon..
PS.. I am workign too much.. I thought you published this about 2 weeks ago... looking just now, it was 1 August, 7 days ago, it feels so much longer!!!!

É seres alma, e sangue, e vida em mim
    E dizê-lo cantando a toda a gente!

  3. Olá amiga,
It was funny. Last night I was (at last) writing my own stuff - a paper I have to present in two weeks in UFF - and I put on music to listen to. I chose an singer I haven´t listened to in a while, and was workign away. Then, suddenly, in the middle of the song, I thought to myself this is Gabi´s poetry... The singer was Lucinda Williams, and the particular song was Essence. It reminded me of your poetry a lot, but also our talks, and of you. Tomorrow I will put the video on your fb. I hope you will like it. I have said to you several times that your poetry is very musical, but I had always thought of Leonard Cohen. Last night listneing to the song, it was your poetry.. maybe i am going mad!! :-) She is an amazing songwriter, but also shares a lot of the same ideas as you. She is very independent, has no time for moralism, - or for papinho I think ha haha). Who knows one day you might put some of your poems to music!! :-)
